Products I'd Take Into The Jungle Tag

Hello again!

I know I've been gone for a month and a half pretty much. I was sick most of the month of November, so I only have one up for then but honestly I've just been flat out slacking. Enough excuses though, hope I can get back into my regular routine quickly!

Today I'm going to do a tag post. This tag was created by Beth from MissBeautyObsession, and she tagged her readers to do it as well. She thought of this tag based on the show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, but you can read more about that on her post HERE .  I decided to give this a go because I thought it was a little fun tag to do and snoop on what others would bring as well if they were put in the jungle for a couple of weeks. It's a funny thing to think about but makeup would be the last on my mind if I was stuck in a jungle. But enough of that, let's get into the tag.

The first product I would take with me would be Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer. That thing works wonders for my under eyes and I'm sure it would be needed if I ended up on a show like that. Honestly, it's probably the only face product I would bring with me. It goes on well to cover under eyes problems and redness or blemishes, so you can use it for the whole nine yards if you'd like.
Next, would be my Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer for my lids. I can be submerged in water and that thing will still last. Absolutely love it. With that I always use some type of liner (If really in the jungle, I'm sure non of this would be useful but for the sake of this post eyeliner is a must.) At the moment, I've been using a Maybelline gel eyeliner called Eyestudio in the color Blackest Black. To top that off, a waterproof mascara would do. The They're Real by Benefit was a really good one that combed my lashes as well as coating them evenly. That mascara was pretty hard to get off so I'm sure it'll do well out there in the wild.
The next products I'd bring with me would be some kind of shampoo and conditioner. A couple weeks in the jungle with greasey hair is a no no. I'm not fussed with the type of shampoo and conditioner I use, so I might just bring some Dove ones with me.
Lastly, would probably be some kind of deodorant. I'd be in the jungle with the animals but it doesn't mean I'd have to smell like one.
Those are the products I'd take with me if I was to spend weeks in the jungle. After thinking pretty hard about it all, I noticed that I wouldn't take much make up with me. This tag opened my eyes to essentials of mine. I thought they'd all be makeup items, but that wasn't the case with this one.

I hope you enjoyed this post. It was a fun one to really think about and see what i'd take. Thanks to Beth for coming up with this tag. Her post on this is linked above if you'd like to take a look at it. I tag whoever reads this  to try it out too!

Top 5 Pinterest Pins: Fashion

Hello!

After a little mini break from blogging, I'm back with what I want to be a new 3 week series on my top 5 favorite Pinterest pins. I'm planning on dividing my favorite pins into separate categories and sharing them with you. Today, the category is Top 5 Pinterest Pins for Fashion. These were very hard to choose from because I have over 200 pins on this board and narrowing it down to just 5 was quite the task. Let's get right into it.

#1. My first is one of my most recent pins. I think I have a little bit of a jacket / coat /  cardigans / anything you put over an outfit obsession. I know I have enough but this one is absolutely gorgeous. The flirty, almost peplum feel to it just makes the whole thing. All I need to do now is figure out where to find one!

(Source: Pinterest Coat )

#2. The next one are these floral lace shorts that I've seen everywhere and have been absolutely huge over the summer. Super girly, yet simple. I'm definitely going to be buying myself a pair for the next summer.

(Source: Pinterest Shorts )

#3.  Now this outfit I pinned way before I realized who this actually was. This is a fellow blogger, Jessie Chanes, who writes a massive fashion blog called Seams For a Desire. The dress she is wearing here is probably one of my favorites. It's a simply beautiful and classy dress with gorgeous detailing in the front.

#4. Next are these nude wedges that are gorgeous. If you know me well, you know nude colors are usually my favorites. Also, wedges are some of the easiest heels to wear. Love it! I will be on the look out for some similar to these.

#5. Lastly, I decided to pick a whole outfit. I chose this one because I figured it'd be what I'd wear most when it comes to causal yet still a bit dressy. The entire outfit is what I feel like my style is a bit. From the peter pan necklace, peplum shirt, skinnies and heels. Can't go wrong with it.

And there you have it, my first top 5 Pinterest pins. I hope you enjoyed this and will hopefully be looking forward to more in the next 2 weeks. Let me know what your top fashion pins are or leave a link to your Pinterest below and I'll have a look!

Fawn Wishlist

Hello!

Today, I thought I'd make a wish list post seeing as I've yet to make one. What better first wish list post to be done than for Fawn. To give you a little insight to what Fawn is, it's an online shopping boutique that sells clothing items down to purses. Iram is the founder of Fawn and I would like to think of her as a friend also. Fawn is UK based so they do have some good UK offers such as free shipping over 35 pound and free return. Lucky duckys!

#1. Getting right into my wish list, here is my first one. This is the Elissa Khaki Top with Drop Neck and Chain Detail. As much as I scrolled to check what else was on the site, I always came back to this top. The color is lovely and the back just completes the design. Effortlessly dresses up a look.

(Source: Elissa Khaki Top )

#2. Next, is this Jess Crochet Pencil Skirt. As simple as it may look, I feel like it can look quite elegant. The floral lace gives it a classy feel.

(Source: Jess Crochet Pencil Skirt )

#3. Next on the list is this Ariana Diamante Bow Satchel. Just look at it. What more can I say?

(Source: Ariana Diamante Bow Satchel )

#4. Lastly, is this Giselle Neoprene Skater Skirt. I don't know what it is with skirts like these but I'm sure I own about 3 that look the same. You just can't go wrong with skater skirts. Pair it with a blouse, leather jacket, heels and you're out the door!

And there you have it! My Fawn wish list. I know none of these things seem fall and winter appropriate but you can definitely layer them up to fit any season. Let me know what your wish lists are.

Red Riding Hood Inspired Makeup

Hello!

Since we are in October, I thought it'd be fitting to do a post on a Red Riding Hood inspired makeup look. I unfortunately don't have a red cape like hood, so this will have to do!

Lets get right into the look!

On my eyes I started with a eye shadow primer. The primer I used was Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I have a previous post on this if you want to check out what I think about it. I used a lot of different colors to achieve this look. I started by using one of the Lorac Pro Palette colors in Garnet and blended that into my crease with my Sigma blending brush. I then started using some warm brown shades (they don't have names; sorry!) from the BH Day & Night Palette. I dusted a lighter warm brown on my lids then moved on to applying a darker brown using my flat shader brush from Real Techniques.

I then continued to blend Garnet into my crease to intensify the color. After that I used Espresso from the Lorac palette and put that all over my lid, blending it out after every application of color. To make the look a little more intense I applied the muted red color from the BH palette and mixed it with Garnet on my crease.

I used my liquid eyeliner to apply my winged look and then dabbed Black from the Lorac palette to darken up my liner. I used Espresso and Garnet and smoked it out underneith my lash line and voila your completed Red Riding Hood inspired look! Just add a mascara of your choice and you're done! I personally decided to wear the Ardell Demi Whispies just to add that something but its up to you if you'd like to or not. Also, you can pair this look with a nude lip product and make it more night time appropriate or you can pair it with a darker color to really go all out. Both looks are great.

I've always liked Red Riding Hood so I thought I would make a post on it. What better month to do that than October? Also, huge credit to Mia who took these awesome pictures (which she does a lot for me because she's great, or I'll poke her until she does. Which ever works. Haha) So thank you Mia!
Let me know what your creepy October look will be.

Comfort Zone

Hello again!

This post will be probably one of the most exciting posts to write because I'm beyond impressed with this product I bought. So, as you may or probably may not know I spend quite some time at Mia's place (she has come up with the brilliant idea that I should keep a little bit of my own makeup stash at her's for when I'm around). We went out looking for pretty basic items for me and we came across Wet n Wild. I've never really had any products of theirs but I know they always get great reviews for what they put out. I decided to grab one of their eye shadow palettes and I have to tell you all about it!

The palette I picked up was the 738 Comfort Zone palette and let me just add that the colors in this palette are stunning. It has 2 sets of colors that you can mix and match with; 2 brow bone colors, 2 eyelid colors, ect. Want to know the best part? (apart from the price, of course) The colors are beyond pigmented! I kind of found it a little insane just how pigmented these shadows could be! As I am pretty bad at explaining colors, I'll swatch how they look and this is with just one swipe.

These colors are beautiful, rich and pigmented, and the variety of colors makes it easy to mix and match to achieve different looks using just this one palette. They have different palettes with all shades of different colors to choose from. The price that I paid for this palette was only $4.68. That's an absolute bargain for the quality of this.

Overall this is one of the best shadow palettes I own, and I definitely recommend it. And you may be seeing it again in the future of my blog (hint hint.) Haha. Let me know what your favorite eye shadow palette is.

Autumn's Vampy Lips

Hello!

Today I just want to make a quick first impression of a couple of lip products that I have recently purchased. I'm sure I've mentioned before that I love nude colored lip products. I also felt that because I am quite pale that colored lip products would make me look even paler. Even though I've stuck to my nude colors I have ventured out and bought a beautiful red color that I have a review on, on one of my previous posts. As lovely as that was, I still felt that it just didn't suit me.

As it is now autumn season and darker lips are creeping up again. I decided to go and find a darker purple shade of lip liner and color. I've come upon NYX's lip liner pencil in 812 Plum and NYX's soft matte lip cream in Copenhagen. Let's just say I was a little nervous about purchasing these items because they are quite daring. Once I tried them I absolutely fell in love; The liner gives off a lovely base color to line the lips and the lip crème is just my favorite part! It has such a smooth and rich consistency that I immediately fell in love with. Also, the bottle of the lip crème feels so nice! I'm guessing because it's a soft matte lip crème, they tried to match with packaging? Maybe that's why the lid feels so soft. My logic? I just really like that part.

This lip combo is just amazing and I'm pretty impressed with it so far. Overall I would definitely tell you to give it a go. Even if you're a bit shy, I think its worth a shot. These are awesome products and I paid less than 10 bucks for both items.

What's your favorite autumn lip color?

Leibster Award Nomination

Hello again!

So today I have a bit of a different post. I've been seeing lately a whole bunch of bloggers write posts on the Leibster award nominations. I did a little bit of research to understand what exactly it was and I thought it was a pretty cool idea. The lovely Lauren from LongingForACity nominated me, which was really sweet of her! You can go check out her post on this award here .

Let's get right into the rules (Which I did grab from Laurens post)!

  • Get nominated
  • Link back the person who nominated you
  • Answer the 11 questions provided by the person who nominated you
  • Create 11 new questions for the people you choose to nominate (Optional - you can keep the questions the same if you wish)
  • Nominate 5 - 20 people for the award
The Questions

1. What are your favourite public figures? (Bloggers, YouTube, Celebrities)
My favorite public figures would be those who are genuine and kind hearted. There's something about those types of people that's absolutely lovely. One of my favorite public figures I would say would be Nicole Guerriero (YouTube Beauty Vlogger), even though I've never met her she seems like a honest and caring type of person.

2. How long have you been blogging for?
I had a "blog" years ago that wasn't very blog like. Haha. It didn't have much content at all and wasn't well thought out. I wouldn't count that one at all. As for my blog now, it hasn't been long at all. I put my first post up in May, so a few months really. I've really been loving it!

3. Where do you want to go with your blog? (professional or just a diary)
Well I have this blog now just as a hobby. Something I'm really enjoying. If later down the line it becomes professional I would think that would be just as amazing. For now, I'm loving it being my outlet and getting to know the blogging community.

4. What tags or awards have you ever been nominated for?
As far as the blogging world, just this one! Haha.
If you're asking in general, then I did get an award for Best Construction for my prom dress in my last year of high school. (I was in fashion and we made our own prom dresses.)

5.  One piece of advice for your 12 year old self.
Just to have a bit more self confidence. Don't take the negative things to heart and find things about yourself you love.

6. Favourite event ever attended?
I don't think I've ever attended a huge event. I have been to youth rallys with my church which I absolutely loved! Also, my cousins wedding was really nice. Do those count? haha

7. Favourite time of the year?
I have two answers for this. My first would be spring because by that time I'm tired of the cold weather and I just want to wear shorts. Also, my birthday is in the spring time. My second would be autumn because the weather is feeling really nice, I love when the leaves change color, and the fashion for this time of year is one of my favorites.

8. Link the blog post you're most proud of.
I don't have many posts up but my favorite so far would have to be my most recent. I love me some outfit posts and this was by far my favorite with the help of my friend Mia who took the photos.
The blog post I'm most proud of thus far.

9. Three facts about yourself.
  1. My favorite animal is a Sparrow Bird.
  2. I get mistaken for a 16 year old.. I'm 21 haha
  3. I love thunderstorms, especially when it's night and I'm getting ready to go to bed.
10. Something you're looking forward to.
Is it cheesey to say I'm looking forward to revamping my room to make it all cozy so I can relax and blog during those cold months? I am looking forward to it!

11. Do you collect anything?
I do! I actually like to save up my movie tickets for when I go to the cinema. I just like to look back and see what movie I saw and when. It's just a little fun thing to do.

Well those were the questions! Thanks again to Lauren for the nomination and the questions!
I do believe this is passed around to bloggers with fewer followers? (I'm not quite sure) I just picked a few of my favorite blogs (numbers not in mind)  in hopes maybe they would enjoy it too!

My Nominations:
  1. Mia's Beauty Addiction
  2. LouJay
  3. Beauty, Bit's 'n' Blog's
  4. Lovestruck for Louboutins
  5. The British Girl

Questions to answer (I did grab a few questions from different sources)

  1. Do you have a signature scent? (Fragrances you always go back too?)
  2. If you were to visit anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would it be?
  3. Story behind your blog name?
  4. Three must have beauty products?
  5. If you were to eat only one type of food for a year, which would it be?
  6. If you could open up your own shop, what would the name be?
  7. Favorite thing to do on your down time?
  8. One high end brand you would splurge on?
  9. One book you wouldn't get tired of reading?
  10. Goals for your blog?
  11. Name a talent of yours.

Coral Outfit

So I know we're now in autumn but that doesn't mean you can't bust out the coral clothing one last time! I've spent the morning with one of my best friends and fellow bloggers Mia from Miasbeautyaddiction.BlogSpot.com (Who in fact took these incredible pictures and any other outfit photos of mine).

Let me jump right in and tell you about this outfit.

Starting from the top, I have a coral colored, fitted and kind of cropped blazer that I bought a few years ago so I'm not really sure where I got it from. The fit and the look of it is absolutely lovely! Underneath that I'm wearing a basic V-neck shirt from Old Navy. I love the simple shirts like this one because it's one you can pair with any outfits or build outfits around it. Definitely a staple.

Moving on to the lower half, I'm wearing what is actually a skirt with built in shorts under it (How cool is that?).  I bought this about a month ago from Forever21. When I saw it, I knew I just had to have it! It's a beautiful soft material with floral printed on it. To make it a bit more cozy and put together I added some sheer nude stockings with it.

On my feet I'm wearing these nude pumps I got from Payless (which are one of my favorite). After a while they get more and more comfortable to walk in. Can't go wrong with these. For jewelry, I'm wearing this gorgeous statement necklace from Forever21. It's coral/pink material braided with gold detailing and studs. Love it! To top it all off I'm wearing my (go - to) watch that I have worn previously from Kohl's.

So once again special thanks to Mia who you can follow on Twitter and her blog which will both be posted below. And that's it for my outfit of the day! What's your favorite outfit to wear?

Edgy Autumn Outfit

Hello again!

So, Autumn is upon us and you know what that means. Scarves, gloves, boots, warm drinks and the leaves changing colors. I decided to put together an autumn outfit for the upcoming season. When the days get colder I'm sure you can layer this up a bit more. Just add a sweater underneath the jacket and a scarf and I'd think it'll look great and very comfy! But for now lets get into the outfit..

Starting from top to bottom, my white, v-neck under shirt is from Old Navy. I bought that and a couple others for only 5 bucks each. Not bad for good quality under shirts. The jacket I'm wearing over it is from Kohl's. I loved this jacket from the moment I saw it and was just waiting for the days to get a bit cooler so I could wear it! I think it's olive green color gives the outfit a autumny feel to it.

Next I have on possibly my favorite shorts I own at the minute. This cranberry structured short I bought from Forever21. I made it a little more appropriate for the cooler months by adding some simple yet effective black tights. Finishing it up with my go-to boots that I was gifted from Traffic.

To top it all off, for my jewelry I just have a stack of three rings that I bought from Forever21. And that's it! That's my edgy autumn look complete. Special thanks to Mia from Miasbeautyaddiction.BlogSpot.com for taking these pictures for me!

What's your favorite thing about autumn?

5 Facts About Me

Hello!

I was thinking of another post to put up and I thought it would be quite fun to do a post on 5 things you may not have known about me. I thought I'd do this just so you can get a feel for the writer behind this blog.

#1. I like to do archery. I've wanted to do archery for a good.. half my life. Long story short, I developed a fascination for it when I was younger (Way before Katniss Everdeen ;) ) and have always wanted to try it out. Almost a year ago my friend and I decided we were just going to go off and try it out. We went to an archery range and fell in love with the sport. I'm still learning the ups and downs of it but over all I always have a great time when I get to do it. Now I think we're just saving up for our own equipment.

#2. I'm double jointed on one of my thumbs. This is usually the type of thing that grosses people out but I find it pretty funny. It's not one that bends back all the way, just the one that clicks out of place. (Sorry for that visual if you're squeamish haha.) I forget about it most of the time but it's fun to show people when I do remember about it.

#3. I'm not too shabby at sketching. I really like to just sit and draw something and watch how it develops from lines being connected to an actual picture. Now, I'm not the best at drawing but I really am happy with what I've finished. My type of sketching is more cartoonish rather than realistic. I do also have the pretty good paints and some equipment for that, I'm just learning more about the different ways and techniques to use it for a painting.

#4. Two places that I would love to travel to and visit are England and Spain. Besides some personal reasons, these two places attract me the most. I want to go and enjoy their culture, people, towns, places to dine and of course shopping! I love the style there so shopping is a must for me!

#5. I'm afraid of elevators. It's not as bad to the point were I can't go in one no matter what, but there are times when I have more anxiety in certain elevators rather than others. I would try to avoid them as much as I can and if I had to go on one, I'd prefer the one where they're glass so if I got stuck someone could help haha. I even had a bad dream about being in an elevator once. They aren't my favorite thing in the world.

Well there you have it, 5 facts you didn't know about me. It was really fun to make this post and have you guys get to know me a little bit. I think I could definitely throw in these posts every once in a while for my blog to spice it up a bit. If you have any post recommendations please let me know.

What are 5 fun facts about you?

Top 5 Favorite Lip Products

Hello!

I don't have many lip products but I thought I'd share with you the top 5 lip products that I own.

#1. My favorite everyday lip product is MAC's Crème D'Nude. I love me some nude lips and I think I've had two these already. It's a cremesheen lip product and it moisturizes my lips quite a bit. In my opinion it's the perfect nude. And for how long it lasts even though I use it everyday, 15 bucks is a steal!

#2. Revlon Pink in the Afternoon lipstick is a beaaautiful color. I was giving this lip product from a friend of mine and I fell in love with it! It's a pink/coral crème lipstick. This is another that moisturizes a lot and I love that about it because my lips can get a bit dry. This particular lip color is a "your-lip-color-but-better" type of feel and it's stunning.

#3. Another from Revlon is called Temptress. It's a light pink lipstick (unfortunately the picture shows the color a bit darker) that just like the one before makes my lips very supple and smooth. Can't get enough of these. I was given this one from my friend so I'm not sure of the price but if it's from Revlon it must be a great price for this great lip product.

#4. The next does not go along with the three before in the way that it is a dark red color. It's the Kate lipstick from Rimmel in the number 01. In the tube its quite a dark vampy red but it's a bit lighter when you apply it. The lasting finish on this product is amazing. It's one that leaves your lips stained red even after it's taken off, which doesn't bother me at all. My favorite thing about this one is that it smells a bit like berries (maybe it's just me haha). The packaging is a plus as well.

#5. The last lip product is more of a lip gloss than a lipstick but its very pigmented. It's the Show Off Lip Lacquer by Rimmel in the color Luna. It's a beautiful bright coral color that I feel sums up the perfect summer lip. The consistency is smooth but not sticky and gives a beautiful sheen to the lips.

These are my top 5 favorite lip products, and I really hope you've enjoyed. These pictures aren't true to color of the actual products. Seems that the camera darkened them up a little bit but still very close! Let me know what your favorite 5 lip products are.

Naked Skin Review

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/12803959/?claim=45pmf8kgcz7">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Hello again,

Today I'd like to give a little quick review on a new foundation I bought. Before I begin I'd like to start by saying I've been wearing makeup for several years now. I'm no make up artist by any means but I do know the basics, I know what works well with my skin and have a lot of fun trying out and finding new products. Throughout the years I've noticed that I've only had drugstore foundations. Obviously nothing wrong with drugstore foundations, they work just as well as the high end but just a lot cheaper (They're my favorite). Recently, I was thinking about how a high end product would look and feel on my skin. I went to ulta a couple weeks ago and had a wonderful lady help me pick out a high end foundation. She recommended Urban Decay's Naked Skin foundation. She swatched it on my face and I fell in love with how soft and weightless the foundation was.

First impressions, the bottle was absolutely beautiful. Very sleek and certainly looks high end. It comes with a pump and 1 fl. oz. of product. When I pumped it onto my hand I noticed that this foundation is very thin. I have redness on my face and a few breakouts so I quite like medium to full coverage. The Naked Skin has light to medium coverage with one application but I like a half pump more to really cover up redness and imperfections. One thing that I'm not crazy about with this foundation is that it has a certain smell to it right out of the bottle. I'm sensitive to scents and can easily gain a headache from smelling something too strong. I'm not crazy for the smell but the plus is that you don't smell it once you've applied it to your face.

Another tip for this certain foundation is that if you don't use a really good moisturizer, it clings to dry patches. I used this a couple times with a normal body lotion and it clung on to every dry patch I had. My friend had given me a really good facial moisturizer from Avon that works wonders for dry skin. That is the type of moisturizer to use with this foundation. Once she applied the foundation after using that, the foundation looked flawless. (And it lasted all night! Yippee!)

The Urban Decay Naked Skin is weightless and once its on your face, you don't feel like you're wearing foundation. I'm really enjoying it. It was about 40 bucks so I may use it a lot less than drugstore foundations but overall I'm glad I purchased it! So, what's your favorite high end foundation?

My Everyday Makeup

Hello again!

I know I've been away for over a month or two now. Although it was a little break off, I'm back and ready to share with you more favorites of mine! I thought I'd ease my way in pretty slow so today I'm just going to tell you about what I put on my face every day.

After prepping my face, I put on primer. I have been using Baby Skin by Maybelline. I've been loving it and I can absolutely see a difference between when I wear it rather than on days that I forget to put it on. It just glides right on! Next, I dot on my foundation. The one I've been using is from L'Oreal and I'm sure you've all heard about it already; the True Match Lumi. Its an excellent foundation and I would definitely recommend either of the True Match.

Once I'm done buffing in my foundation, I move straight on to my eyes. I prime my lids using Too Faced Shadow Insurance. I did a more of an in depth review on this product in a previous post of mine. Now, I switch up my eye shadows once in a while, for the most part I pretty much ware out a certain look. This time it's quite basic shades. I use the lightest color in Revlon's Colorstay in the Addictive quad. I run that color all over my lid right up into the crease. Then, I take the color Limit from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and blend that into my crease. Lastly for shadows I'll use Strange from the same UD palette to highlight my brow bone. Pretty basic stuff going on on my eyes. I then use Rimmel's ScandalEyes to draw on my flick and get that color as close to the lash line as I can. Once both eyes are traced out with the ScandelEyes liquid eyeliner, I grab The infallible BlackBuster from L'Oreal to fill in the rest of my "cat eye" look. Lastly for the eyes, I'll use my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara to complete my eye makeup.

After I finish with my eyes, I'll move to using my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser. I love this concealer! I'm pretty much done with this tube. Off to buy my third one of these! I use this concealer in a triangle shape under my eyes along with dotting it on those troubling spots. I blend that all in and move right on to my brroooowss. Now, I don't have the best eyebrows in the world but I do try to make them look quite put together. So I'll brush them out with a spool-y brush and then go right in with my NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder in ECP02? I think those numbers differ between the shades. Mine is in Dark Brown/Brown. Once that is all done, I'll use my Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. (I did do a review on this product on a previous post of mine if you want to check out what I thought of it.) So, to top it all off I'll always use my MAC lipstick in Crème 'De Nude which completes my everyday makeup look!

Now there are some days (very few days) where I'll wear more makeup - usually darken up the eyes. And there are other days where I'll just want to wear less makeup. And also those rare times were I'll go off without any! But this is my go to look. Let me know what your go to look is!

Skincare Routine

Hello!
So, I've just recently figured out my favorite skincare routine. For a while I was using different cleansers but nothing that really stuck. I've used the L'Oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin for a couple of years now (while buying others also throughout that time). I kept using the L'Oreal one but I've never really felt like it did an amazing job cleaning my skin. I've recently found my favorite products and they have definitely been leaving my skin with a deep clean feel.

In the mornings I keep my cleansing routine quite simple. I like to use the Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser for normal to oily skin. I only just purchased this not too long ago but I feel like this gel like cleanser really does the trick. On the bottle it claims to leave the skin feeling clean, soft and smooth, without clogging pores. I use this in the mornings with the scrub that comes with the L'Oreal 360 Deep Clean.

At night I tend to spend just a bit more time on my skin. I got the Clarisonic Mia 2 for my birthday a while back and I've been loving it! I really don't know why I never thought of getting it sooner. It has two buttons on it. One to turn it on and the other to control the speed. The speed settings are high and low, I tend to use the low setting because my skin is sensitive. The Clarisonic Mia 2 is set to cleanse for 1 minute; It beeps after 20 seconds for your forehead, 20 seconds for your nose and chin, and 10 seconds for each cheek, then it turns off automatically after that minute is over. The Clarisonic Mia 2 also came with a Refreshing Gel Cleanser which is what I use at night. I'm almost done with it but when I am, I'll just use my Neutrogena cleanser with the Clarisonic. Once I'm done cleansing my face I apply the Proactiv Blackhead Dissolving Gel. It's kind of like a deep clean for your pores and when you've finished, the appearance of your pores has shrunk (It did for me). I tend to use this product sparingly, at most twice a week and it does such an amazing job. My skin is left feeling super clean and soft.

Once I dry my face I apply toner. I'm not one for toners really; I've never really been the one to just go out and get myself one. I was given the L'Oreal Hydrafresh toner and decided to give it a try. It certainly does what the bottle claims and that's to "refresh in a splash". I would like to finish the bottle but I think it'll try out different toners instead of purchasing this one for myself. Until then, I will continue to use it after washing my face in the morning and at night.

This routine has really worked for me and I'm going to stick to it for a while. It's what works best with my skin and I love the results at the end. Hope you are able to find this post helpful. Let me know what your skin care routine is.

Favorite Makeup Brushes

So in my opinion, I feel you don't need the most expensive make up brushes to get the results that you want when it comes to the application of your make up. I want to let you know of some of my favorite brushes that do just the job for me that you can easily buy. The make up brush brands that I use are from a lower price such as E.L.F (eyeslipsface) to the one that's a bit more in price from Sigma.

I put my foundation on with E.L.F's powder brush. I love using this brush to apply my foundation. It's a flat top that blends in your makeup beautifully. It's also very durable! I've had this brush for years and I've yet to have bristles fall from it. Best part - it's only 3 bucks! That's a steal for the quality of this brush. This really is my go - to brush when it comes to my foundation. Very dependable. Next we'll move onto E.L.F's Small Stipple Brush. Now this brush has two sets of layered bristles which leaves a great application. I know some use this for foundation, but I use it to apply blush. I haven't had it long but from what I've used of it, its a great brush. This brush also retails for $3. The last brush I use from this brand is called E.L.F's Small Angled Brush. I don't know what I did without this brush! I use it to do my eye brows and I love it! My brows are not the best but they're a lot better than they used to be now that I use this brush. As I'm sure you've guessed, this brush was $3. Such great deals!

The next brand is Eco Tools. I love Eco Tools' brushes. They are made of natural material. I actually have been meaning to go get more of this brand of brushes. I have the Eco Tools Bamboo Powder Brush. I used to use this brush for - well applying powder! Recently I've just been using it to apply my bronzer with. It does a beautiful job of application and blending the product out to get that flawless look. These brushes cost a bit more than E.L.F brushes. This one in particular cost $7.79. Completely worth it. My next brush from this brand is Eco Tools Bamboo Bronzer Brush. This brush is quite dense so I don't use it for bronzer. I use it with powder if I need to set it in place or to just blend what I need together. This brush cost $9.99. The bristles on Eco Tools brushes are so soft and gentle for your face and have yet to shed out as well.

Now for Real Techniques. I know these are raved about a lot because this brand is from the makeup artists Sam and Nic Chapman. Also known as Pixiwoo on Youtube. I bought the starter set, which I got a while ago and I've still been using it for my everyday makeup. Checking on their website, this set retails for $18 but it does come with 5 brushes. My favorite from the set and the ones I use everyday are the Deluxe Crease Brush, and the Base Shadow Brush. The Deluxe Crease Brush is a super soft, dense, dome brush that is made for contouring (What it claims on the website). I use this brush for setting my concealer under my eyes. It's the perfect size to smooth out that concealer. The next brush is the Base Shadow Brush. This is the perfect flat shader brush to apply eye shadow with. It's not as dense as others I've seen but that just makes it that much better to blend it out a bit as well.

Last but not least is my Tapered Blending E40 brush by Sigma. This brush just blends all those eye shadows seamlessly together to achieve that perfect look. This brush alone cost $14 from the SigmaBeauty website. The brush does cost more than the others individually but it does a great job of just smoking out the shadow and blending any harsh lines. The brushes that you receive from Sigma always come with a little note card of instructions on how to take care of it. I may have taken care of it wrong or this might happen to others with the same brush but these bristles do shed. Every once in a while I get that dreaded bristle just sat on my face. I can look past those pesky fly away bristles because of how well this brush works.

Those are a few of my favorite brushes. I certainly enjoy them and would absolutely buy them again if necessary. Also, I definitely recommend them! They're a lot cheaper than the individual brushes you get from Mac and work just as good!

I found the prices of them on different sites such as eyeslipsface, walgreens, realtechniques, and sigmabeauty. I did however buy E.L.F at target, Eco Tools at walgreens, Real Techniques at Ulta and I bought the Sigma brush off their website SigmaBeauty. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I would try and answer them to the best of my ability! These are of course just my own opinion on a few of my favorite brushes.

Tell me some brushes you use that you love!
